A man was standing in the checkout queue with a loaf of bread and a carton of milk.
When it was his turn, he reached into his pocket, frowned, then checked every other pocket.
His wallet wasn’t there.
Before he could say a word, the lady behind him quietly stepped forward, tapped her card and smiled.
“It’s okay,” she said. “You can get the next person’s one day.”
He stood there for a moment, holding his bag, then simply nodded.
“Deal.”
